Business model adopted

An hourly basis business model was used for this project which involved BIM modeling, coordination drawing creation and coordination in LOD 300.

Project synopsis

The project was to model a coordinated BIM model of three stations in the WEST Oahu station group named East Kapolei, UH West Oahu, & Ho’opili stations.

Our scope of services

Our scope of services included modeling of Architectural, Structural and MEP services. The client requisite was a coordinated BIM model so team Advenser did the modeling in LOD 300. Duct, refrigerant pipes, plumbing, fire alarm and electrical were the MEP services included.

Result

The design drawings from the client were used to develop the 3D models for all elements. These 3D models were then coordinated with the Architectural and structural model. A detailed RFI was sent to the client highlighting the conflicting special data that could not be resolved by the team and the issues were tracked using the issue tracker.

The final deliverables to the client included A coordinated set of MEP coordination drawings and Clash free BIM models after resolving every conflict. Revit was used for BIM modeling and coordination and clash detection was carried out using Navisworks Manage as well as Revit. Client reviews for the models were marked in the Navisworks files.
